Retaining Walls Engineered to Hold Back Miami Soils

Segmental retaining walls on compacted crushed-stone footings, with geogrid reinforcement, free-draining aggregate, and geotextile stabilization fabric. We engineer walls to ICPI standards that resist lateral soil pressure and hydrostatic buildup - no leaning, no failure.

    Retaining Walls

A Wall Is Only as Strong as Its Footing and Drainage

Retaining wall failures almost always trace back to two causes: an inadequate footing and trapped water behind the wall. We excavate below grade to a compacted crushed-stone base, compact it lift-by-lift to ICPI installation standards, and lay geotextile stabilization fabric to stop soil migration.

Behind every wall we install a free-draining aggregate column and a perforated drain pipe at the base to route hydrostatic pressure away. For taller walls, we tie geogrid reinforcement back into the soil so the structure handles full lateral load - engineered to stay plumb for decades.

    Retaining Wall Applications

    • • Slope and grade-change retaining walls
    • • Geogrid-reinforced tall walls
    • • Patio and fire pit seat walls
    • • Planter and landscape border walls
    • • Free-draining aggregate with drain pipe
    • • Matching paver cap units, adhesive-set
